If you are here in the afternoon you may see anteaters. Heading towards Río Verde on the left side, we saw 2 Adults and one with a baby on her back. Look for the open field with scattered trees right after the Fazenda entrance. There are tons of other wildlife to see, if you're lucky, even tapirs. See comments for sightings. Important note: Do not chase the wildlife for photos, there's some people who chase the anteaters, this stresses them out as they have poor eyesight. Never chase wildlife when they feel uncomfortable and move away.
