Barge to cross over to the Natal side. You can shorten the distance between Pipa and Natal quite significantly. You probably need a 4x4 because on the Natal side you have to drive on the beach for a few kilometers. Cost 50 R$ for our Landcruiser. Service officially starts at 9am but in our case it arrived at 9:45am.
