There is a great little restaurant at this Posto. Good for a lunch stop and refuel - 38R per kg. this could also be a good possible overnight stop as the petrol station has parking, free showers, cold drinking water. The road from Altamira to Ruropolis is part paved part dirt. Of the total 350km, there are two stretches of dirt: one 150km then one of 70km. Our average speed on these sections was 40kmph. From Altamira to Maraba it is mainly paved and they are working on the unpaved bits. Two unpaved stretches not too onerous, about 35km.
