This is an area designated for parking from the city hall. A homeless guy takes care of it. His name is Balte. He actually has a cardboard & plastic hut on the back where he sleeps. It is very safe as it is a dead end street, and all neighbors know each other and him. He asked for 10 BRL for 3 hours. It is walking distance from Pelourinho. He speaks a bit of Spanish.
