On the corner opposite the Fort. It looks like a simple cafe but if you go upstairs it is a wonderful restaurant offering a degustation menu of indigenous foods. Everything they sell comes from local suppliers and is fresh. We tried a variety of juices, shrimp with banana and for dessert buffalo cheese with a fruit syrup and brazil nuts. A main dish costs between $75-95 R. Some staff speak English and will happily explain the menu and make recommendations. Park your van in the square outside where the friendly guys will keep an eye on it and enjoy an unhurried lunch.
