MODERATOR NOTE: User reports place is now permanently closed. Place deleted.-----This is a place with many lagoons where you can find plenty of water to swim in even in November. It‘s possible to reach the place with a guide for 100 R$ (you can send him back when you reached the place). Without travelling in a tour you can really enjoy the dunes because you are there in the awesome evening light, can stroll around and see several other dunes. With this point just go without guide follow a sandy cartrack near the dunes or follow the beach. But be aware: It’s very hot at day times, we needed 12 liters of water for our 2-days-which you have to carry in but you will find the place at a nice dune beach for sure. Take a tent or sleep under the stars, just wonderful. Take plenty of sun protection, a hat. The way back is even harder, you will fight against the wind. Head for the beach where you can find a transport to drive back. Walking time: 4-5 hours when you have a lot of luggage, if you are very fit maybe 3 hours.
