Wild camping can be done in front of the salines next to the road or in the dead end next to the sand strip that goes into the lagoon where there is an open parking area. The road to get there is very sandy with many soft areas where you may get stuck. It's a preferred 4x4 adventure, although we have made with a Sprinter Van. It's a spectacular spot.Camping selvagem pode ser feito em frente às salinas ao lado da estrada de areia ou bem no fim da estrada em uma área de estacionamento perto de onde a faixa de areia vai para dentro da lagoa de Araruama. As estradas são de areia bem fofa e há varios pontos de atolamento. É uma aventura mais segura de 4x4 ou buggy, apesar de termos ido com uma van sprinter.
