This place is incredible. Located in Parque Natural do Caraça is a monastery/church which is also a pousada. There is accommodation in private rooms, no camping allowed, mass is not compulsory. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided within the price (we paid $157reais per person and got a room with our own bathroom). There is a museum on site as well as many walking trails (trails over 6km need a guide, not sure on price). The cream on the cake - a nightly ritual of feeding a maned wolf!!
