Here live Boré and Rosangela, a couple of locals living here for thirty years. We took a ride on the river with Boré to search the jaguars and we do not regret it. The tour started at 6:30 AM and we sailed for almost 11 hours. The cost was 1300Rs for 2 adults and 2 children on a private boat with lunch. We were there at the end of the rainy season, the water level was high and the vegetation dense. In these conditions it is difficult to see the animals but Boré was patient and he found 2 jaguars, one swimming and another resting on the bank. It really is a unique experience, I highly recommend. Boré and his wife are very kind, and there is no intermediary. They only speak Portuguese but you will be able to make yourself understood.
