Balsa for manaus, we paid 1465reals for the 2of us and our van (size combi) including food (3meals) and insurance for the car.7days traveling up river. they transport trucks and leave twife a week. they normally dont take passengers and we have to sleep in the van but if you ask nicely they will let you in. Ask for Adriana. Not sure about quality as we are just about to leave!!! Otherwise you can also go to town to the hydroviara and use a ferry boat rather than balsa but they were charging 1500reals plus between 250 to 370 per person with only breakfast included. you will need a hammock and can t sleep in your van. the only company we found was Coapabam. they have 2 ferry a week but one of them is quite small and had to wait for the bigger one
