Truck Depot
Sobre este lugar
it's a place where trucks load and unload rice. I don't really know how this kind of place is called. i heard from locals that it's common to hitchhike at the entrance to here. I got here at begining of the evening, very low traffic and I decided to come inside and ask to fill up my water bottle when it got dark. I spoke to the security man, and he was very helpful. he took me to to the owner (who was around at the moment) to ask him if I could pitch my tent somewhere for tonight. there's a lot of trees around, but also some noise from motors and a bit from the near road. the owner was welcoming and even offered me food. it sounds like when it's past 7pm the owner is most likely to not be around anymore, and the security man might still help and let you find a place to pitch your tent. he told me he has helped a few other backpackers who showed up. just remember that you'll be trying your luck - they seem to be nice and helpful usually, but if it's not a good day for them, I can't guarantee that they'll help anyhow. worth it coming here and asking for water or any kind of information just to start a conversation and see how it goes. perhaps they'll help you finding a truck to give you a ride or something you might need. trucks stay here overnight, perhaps if you're traveling in a motorhome or something you can also try asking if they wouldn't mind you staying here for the night.
