Why Not Pantanal Sul - Jaguar Tours

Sobre este lugar
Everybody believes you must go to Porto Jofre to see a Jaguar. But you can see them here too, and hence how the name of this tour company came about. This is a one man (Tony) operation. He has no office, so it's all WhatsApp (+55 67 9932-1945) although he has a website and he is on TripAdvisor.Tony speaks fluent English and took us on a boat trip from Passo do Lontra to look for Jaguars. He provides basic sandwiches, water, and a cool box with ice. And of course, life jackets. The open boat is for up to four passengers and has comfortable seats with seat backs. Tony likes to start early. We left at 6:00 and returned at 16:00 and travelled about 100km over 10 hours. Tony says he sees a Jaguar most trips. We saw two and spent an hour with themWhat's nice about South Pantanal is that there are very few boats, and we were the only boat at our sighting. I can recommend Tony wholeheartedly. We paid 2000R for the boat for the day, 1250R half day in May 2024 (updated). Groups of 5 are the max. However, you pay the same amount for a smaller group, as it's the cost for the boat. Pretty expensive though.NOTE: location is for Passo do Lontra, where Tony is based. Call him and he will come find you.
